Where TailyX Fits in Your Tech Stack

"Where does TailyX fit?" is a fair first question from anyone who already runs a CRM, an email tool, and some kind of sales process. The short answer: at the enquiry boundary, before any of that — not instead of it.

The enquiry boundary

Before a website enquiry reaches a CRM, an inbox, or a sales workflow, it has to arrive somewhere first. That's usually a contact form. TailyX replaces that first step with a structured qualification flow: a small number of guided questions instead of a blank message box, answered by the visitor before they leave your site.

Everything downstream — your CRM, your inbox rules, your team's process — still works the way it already does. TailyX changes what arrives at the start of that process, not what happens to it afterward.

You don't need a CRM to use it, and you don't need to replace one you already have

TailyX is designed to work without a CRM: qualified enquiries land in Revenue Inbox, TailyX's own pipeline view, with the qualification answers, score and recommended next action attached. For a team that doesn't want to stand up a CRM just to handle website enquiries, that's the whole workflow.

If you do already run a CRM, TailyX doesn't ask you to give it up. The Hot / Warm / Lukewarm / Cold / Unqualified bands TailyX scores enquiries into can be labelled to match your CRM's own stage names — for example, mapping "Hot" to "Sales Qualified Lead" if your team already thinks in those terms. That's a labelling preference, not a live sync: TailyX is not currently wired to push records into Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or any other CRM automatically, and this article won't claim otherwise.

Scoring, routing and alerts happen at the boundary

Qualification, scoring and routing all happen on the enquiry itself, before it reaches your team. A high-priority enquiry triggers an Owner Alert immediately; lower-priority enquiries can be routed into a normal follow-up queue via Lead Automation instead of competing for the same attention. Your team still decides how to respond — TailyX's job stops at handing over a prioritised, evidence-backed enquiry, not deciding what happens next.

What happens after the enquiry

Once your team follows up, TailyX doesn't need to know the outcome to keep working — but if you record one (won, lost, no-fit), that outcome data feeds Improve Website: TailyX's process for turning qualification and outcome patterns into specific, reviewable suggestions. Nothing from that loop ships automatically. A person reviews and approves a recommendation before it goes live as a controlled experiment, and today that loop covers widget-copy and qualification-flow wording — not a rebuild of your page, campaigns or downstream workflow.

What TailyX does not replace

TailyX does not replace your CRM, your email tool, or your team's judgement about how to run a sales process. It does not send outbound marketing campaigns, manage a full sales pipeline across multiple deal stages, or make the final call on whether to pursue an enquiry. What it replaces is the first, unstructured step — a contact form that captures a message with no evidence attached — with one that captures enough evidence for your existing process to act on faster.

TailyX's job ends where your team's judgement begins. It structures what arrives; it doesn't decide what you do with it.
